Benson
Smith –
Founder AND CEO Benson Smith is a successful
business executive, best-selling author, and private pilot. He enjoyed a
25-year career with C.R. Bard, Inc., a Fortune 1000 medical devices company.
Smith held several management positions at C.R. Bard and served as the
company’s president and chief operating officer.
Smith co-authored Discover Your Sales Strengths, a best-selling book that
debunks many of the sales myths that inhibit sales performance, transforming
how organizations manage and motivate their sales organizations. He travels
extensively lecturing on sales leadership for the Gallup Organization.
Smith graduated from Grinnell College in 1970 with a history major. The Hyde
and Watson Foundation awarded him a postgraduate fellowship. As a Watson
Fellow, he traveled to England and produced historical films.
Smith has served as treasurer and as a member of the board of trustees for
the Foundation of the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey. He
is chairman of the board of the National Association for Continence and is
on the board of directors of the Worldwide Fund for Mothers Injured in
Childbirth. He was co-chairman of the New Jersey Scholarship Fund for The
Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars. Currently, he
serves on the boards of Rochester Medical Corp., Teleflex Inc., ZOLL Medical
Corp., and several private businesses.
Dave
Smith – President David P. Smith has more than 30 years experience
building startups into profitable businesses. A hands-on executive, he has
been involved in all aspects of business development—identifying and
developing new markets, building teams, creating partnerships, managing
operations, selling, and marketing products and services.
Smith served as chief financial officer and chief operating officer of
Mighty Distributing System of America, Inc., national franchiser of
automotive parts distributors. During his 17-year tenure, Smith developed
and implemented training programs for more than 200 franchisees in 43
states.
As co-owner of TEC International, a specialized cleaning services for
computer chip manufacturers such as Intel, Motorola, IBM, Fujitsu and Texas
Instruments, Smith helped increase the business’s annual sales revenue from
less than $1 million to more than $6 million in five years. Pentagon
Technologies acquired the company in 1998.
Smith received a degree in business administration from Kinman Business
University in Spokane, Washington. |
